Salon Sessions: Art Basel Fundraiser- Private Auction, Exclusive performances and more)

Salon Sessions bring together like minded people sharing the passion for the creative arts and making the world a better place.

This event is a fundraiser to support the nonprofit organization Bridges for Music. All proceeds will go towards the construction of a music and entrepreneurship academy in the township of Langa, Cape Town, South Africa.

This will be an intimate gathering of 70 curated guests hosted by Tony & Ximena Cho, Kweku Mandela, Alex Ebert ( Edward Sharpe) and Ben Nehmadi featuring Richie Hawtin, Skrillex, Arthur Baker and more surprise guests.

There will be a special live performance by Behrouz and DJ Isaiah Martin. Food will be served by our selected group of volunteer artists.

An art auction (both silent and live) curated by Katie Hanson with special access to a selection of sought after up-and-coming artists will be available throughout the event. Auction to also feature exclusive "once in a lifetime" experiences curated by Liz Miller.

The discussion will include an introduction of the nonprofit Bridges for Music by its Founder Valentino Barrioseta and Board Member Bear Kittay, who will explain its mission to change communities through music, arts and education.

EVENT SCHEDULE

(Live performances by Behrouz and surprise acts throughout event)

• 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Sake tasting and reception curated by Richie Hawtin

• 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails served by our volunteer artists

• 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Guest speaker and Bridges for Music introduction

• 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Cocktails, music, and dancing

Curated by Katie Hanson we will have pieces donated by Olivia Steele, HYBYCOZO, Biljana Misic, Joni Arredia, Parker Calvert, Clayton Calvert, Asanka Patharaja and more.

ABOUT BRIDGES FOR MUSIC

Bridges For Music is a non-profit organization gathering key players of the music industry to support its responsible development in developing countries, leaving a positive impact in disadvantaged communities and helping to raise global awareness about local issues through music. All proceeds will go towards the construction of Bridges for Music's first music and entrepreneurship academy in the township of Langa, Cape Town, South Africa. The school is currently being built and should be finished by the end of 2016. It will be the first space built by the communal effort of music lovers, artists and companies in the electronic music space.

Every $1,500 raised provides one student access to our 6 month full-time educational program on music and entrepreneruship.
